Due to the rapid spread of the Coronavirus around the world, we are postponing our concerts originally scheduled for March 28th and 29th. We have been busy preparing some amazing music to share with our families, friends, and community, but safety and health are of paramount importance. We appreciate your understanding and hope that you’ll join us for one of our future performances!
Our focus is on sacred choral music and our performances often feature the great composers and great works of the classical choral tradition. However, we also sing lesser-known and contemporary pieces from a variety of genres, including spiritual arrangements and some “lighter” sacred works.
Each year we prepare and perform two concerts: one for the Advent/Christmas season and one in Spring. Each concert consists of two performances. We may schedule additional, optional performances.
Concerts often include works accompanied by an instrumental ensemble, but we perform pieces a cappella, too.
Our choir is composed of approximately 75 men and women, young and old, from a variety of backgrounds and range of experience. We enjoy challenge and reward of rehearsing and performing classical choral masterpieces and exciting contemporary works.
Diana Wiens has proudly directed the Te Deum Singers community choir (formerly the Taylor University Community Choir) for over 14 years. She brings a wealth of education and experience with a passion for excellence that inspires choir members and enchants audiences.
Inspiring, humorous, dedicated.
She brings out the best in each of us.
Full of joy, not just for music, but for living.
